2 Questions To Ask A Towing Company

Gwendolyn Fletcher

When your car breaks down in the middle of the night, you need to figure out a way to get your car from where it is to either your house or to a service station. That means calling a 24-hour towing service to help you out. When you do call one of these services, there are some things that you should ask them to make sure that you have contacted the right towing service.

Prioritization

You should ask the towing service how they prioritize their calls. They can set their priorities in a few different ways. One is that they can prioritize the calls by first come, first served. That would mean that the towing service would pick up people in the order in which they called for help. Another way to prioritize calls is by how safe the car and driver are. For example, if you are in a lit parking lot out of the way of traffic, you are going to be safer than someone who has broken down on the side of the highway. A towing company that prioritizes by safety would pick up the person on the highway first, even if they called after you.

Vehicles

You also need to check with the towing service about what kind of vehicles the tow company can handle. They may have some limitations depending on what kind of tow vehicles they have. For example, if you have an SUV, large pickup truck, or another large and heavy vehicle, your vehicle may need to be towed by a flatbed truck. A flatbed tow truck will have a bed that can tip down so that your vehicle can be pulled up on the flatbed and carried away. Trying to carry a heavy vehicle on a regular tow truck may be impossible. Checking with the towing company before they come out to your location to tow your car can save you time and money and let the tow company get to someone else that may need help. If you let the tow company know what kind of car you have, they can send out the right kind of tow truck to your area.

If you need to have your car towed in the middle of the night, then you need a 24-hour towing service. To ensure that you are working with the right company, you need to ask them some questions. The answers to those questions will give you some peace of mind.

Hello, my name is Shelly Charles. Welcome to my website about automotive braking systems. Although much focus goes toward the powerplant and transmission when selecting a vehicle, the braking system deserves just as much attention. Without a proper braking system, the vehicle cannot perform as expected on public roads or racetracks. On my site, I will explore how braking systems work and their major improvements over the years. I invite you to visit anytime to learn all you can about modern brakes and their benefits. You will develop a close working knowledge of braking systems by visiting my site. Thank you for coming by.
